The Women Behind Rainbow Ri
For much of my life, I've felt like the black sheep. Like I didn't quite fit, didn't quite belong and somehow always saw or felt things differently from others.
I was often told I was "too sensitive". It took me years to realise that my sensitivity, intuition and ability to feel deeply were not weaknesses, but some of my greatest strengths.
My Journey
Life hasn't always been straightforward. I've navigated Endometriosis, major surgeries, an early surgical menopause, Overian cancer and difficult personal experiences that challenged my sense of self and my worth.
There have been times when I've lost myself trying to get through what life was asking of me. But slowly, through therapy, self-discovery and my own healing, I began finding my way back to ME.
I've learned that healing isn't just physical. It's emotional, mental and spiritual too. It's about understanding ourselves, recognising our patterns, finding our boundaries and learning to trust ourselves again.
My Connection With Spirit
My connection with spirit began when I was 12, when I was shown my Great Uncle Peter following his passing. It was an experience that stayed with me, and with the support of my nan, who encouraged me to trust what I experienced, my spiritual journey continued to unfold.
Over the years, my connection has grown and developed, becoming an important part of who I am and the work I do today.
How Rainbow Ri Came to Be
My own experiences led me to seek a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me. Through therapy, training and personal growth, I began to see things differently and understand just how much we can learn about ourselves when we give ourselves the time and space to do so.
In 2023, I founded Rainbow Ri Holistic Health Coach as a sideline alongside my employed career. Over time, it grew into something much bigger, and in 2025, I took the leap to dedicate myself to my business full-time.
My journey hasn't always been easy, and I'm not someone who believes we ever stop learning about ourselves. I'm still growing, changing and discovering new things along the way.
Perhaps that's why it's so important to me that people feel comfortable being themselves around me. You don't have to have everything figured out, pretend you're okay or know exactly what you're looking for.
Sometimes, the first step is simply giving yourself permission to stop and listen to yourself.
And that's something I've had to learn to do, too.
With love,
Ri
